On March 1st, shortly before the fourth anniversary of the Iraq war, the Laugh Factory and the Levantine Cultural Center will debut “Sultans of Satire,” a refreshing comedy show that seamlessly weaves political commentary with personal glimpses into Middle Eastern culture.
Touted by the Los Angeles Times and featured on Fox News 11 and 13, “Sultans of Satire” features a stunning lineup of some of America’s top comics of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean descent, of Arab, Iranian, Moroccan-Israeli, Greek and Turkish heritage. The comedians are irreverent and sometimes subversive as they tackle sacred cows and otherwise raise eyebrows with hilarious comedy and storytelling.
The March 1st debut of the “Sultans of Satire” will utilize comedy as a means towards promoting a peaceful resolution to conflict in the Middle East. “Sultans of Satire” will be featured at the Laugh Factory on the first Thursday of every month. When: March 1st at 8:00 PM
Media call time of 7:30 PM Where: World Famous Laugh Factory 8001 Sunset Blvd, Hollywood, CA 90046 www.laughfactory.com www.funnygreek.com |
