Who: The Greek Orthodox Mission of South Orange County is a new parish that was started a couple years ago. Presently, they have directors, however they will need new directors starting this September...or sooner possibly. Where: Currently the church is in San Juan Capistrano off the 5 freeway. They are looking into finding a permanent location because they are currently renting. Stay tuned for more details. When: Services would be required from late August to mid June, yearly. They are looking for someone who would like to teach at their church for at least a couple years, but terms are negotiable. Currently, the groups are only practicing on Sundays, but there is a possibility of a second day during the week. Compensation: This area is also negotiable; however, the Dance Board members indicated that they would pay what was appropriate based on experience. If you have a history of directing, or a history of award winning groups, you would clearly be ranked on a higher standard. Although it should be noted, that anyone who is willing to teach and is accepting of an "audition/ meeting" if you will, is certainly welcome. Experience: Any persons who are interested should have knowledge of Tavern style dances as well as some knowledge of region specific dances; i.e...Macedonian, Cretan, Island...etc. Prior teaching experience is excellent, but all terms can be discussed upon a meeting. If anyone is at all interested, please contact Michelle Selberis at: michelle.selberis@cox.net or Soula Petinos at: agapisoula@yahoo.com
